The Water Fitter Who Helped Connect Liverpool's Water Supply

Archibald Malcolm McIntyre: born Glasgow 1852. Moved to Liverpool in 1875 after the death of his father. Moved to Rossett after his retirement, where he died 1926. As an engineer and water fitter for the Corporation of Liverpool, Archibald was part of the effort to connect Liverpool to a new water supply. This was done by damming the River Vyrnwy and submerging the village of Llanwyddyn forever. His legacy is that the village of Malpas is still connected to this water supply.
