The Anzac Tree

Archibald Maltman McIntyre (1887 - 1918): The son of Archibald Malcolm McIntyre of Rossett. Each year in Australia, the Anzac Parade in Eumundi, near Brisbane, stops by a hundred-year-old tree marking Archie Maltman McIntyre, who was killed in action at Villiers Bretonneux, France, where he died fighting with the 21st Reinforcements 25 Battalion of the Australian Infantry Force. Born in Liverpool, Archie McIntyre is named on the Roll of Honour in the grounds of his old Parish Church, in Malpas, Cheshire.
